After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, completed graduate studies at Tokyo University of the Arts. In 1988, won the grand prize in the duo category at the 4th Piano Audition hosted by the Japan Piano Education Federation. She went to Europe and studied in the Netherlands, England, Germany, and other countries. She completed the performer course at the Amsterdam Conservatory and obtained the Dutch national performer qualification. Since then, she has been active in a wide range of performances, including recitals, piano concertos, and chamber music, both in Japan and abroad. She studied under Nagiko Baba, Yoshie Takara, Kazuko Yasukawa, and Willem Brons. After working as a lecturer at Tokai University, she is currently a professor at Showa University of Music. She is a member of the Japan Federation of Musicians, a member of the Japan Piano Education Federation, and a full member of the All Japan Piano Teachers Association. She has served as a judge for various competitions, including the Kanagawa Music Competition, PTNA, Chopin Competition in Asia, Suganami Piano Competition, and Japan Classical Music Competition.
